Ory Network v25.4.0 introduces performance improvements, enhanced identity management, and expanded onboarding integrations.

Performance and Identity Management

  • Significantly faster identity updates
Optimized database queries and reduced redundant operations improve the performance of identity-related requests.
Users will notice faster response times when signing up, updating profiles, or changing credentials.

  • Optional recovery address ID
The id field for recovery addresses is now optional when creating an identity via the API.
If not provided, Ory auto-generates an ID, resolving previous opaque UUID validation errors during identity creation.

Developer Experience Enhancements

  • Session now available in settings after hook
The session object is now included in the webhook body context when using the After Hook feature in Ory Kratos.
This allows developers to access session data directly within the webhook for more dynamic and context-aware logic.

Onboarding and Integration Updates

  • Feature toggling for onboarding portal links
Project admins can now enable or disable specific onboarding features such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Directory Sync (SCIM) when generating onboarding portal links.
Organization admins will only see the features applicable to their organization configuration.

  • Google Workspace SCIM and SAML support in the Onboarding Portal
Added support for connecting Google Workspace to automatically provision users via SCIM (user provisioning only) through the onboarding portal.
The update introduces a dedicated Google SAML provider and a generic SCIM provider, improving compatibility with broader identity ecosystems.
